Description

WindForecast provides you with a wind forecast for any location on earth by a simple tap on a map.

For sailing, hang gliding, paragliding, kite surfing, wind surfing and many more activities, knowing the wind forecast is essential. WindForcast is not limited to a few predefined locations – it will let you choose *any* location on earth by tapping with your finger on a map.

Works great on iPhones as well as iPads! Supports m/s, knots, mph and km/h as wind speed unit!

Just the basics and a quick viewer to see wind strength and speed

I bought it to test how well it works in conjunction with a more feature-rich weather program I have used daily for several years.

It seems accurate, though my difficulty in knowing for sure is that there is no way to put in an exact lat/long position.

It would be great if somehow that could be added rather than just by finger touching, which is not precise enough for indication wind force and direction on the open sea.

It helps me plan my car-free life. Glad to have found it. Only complaint: I wish, instead of having to plunk the pin in the map every time, it would default to the location I last used, or let me preprogram a location or two. Still, this app's become indispensable to me.
