WxRadMap is fast and simple to use, and it remembers all of your radar settings such as location, zoom, radar type, animation, map type, etc… so there's no need to buy a different radar app for each city. This app has them all, and it will resume where you left off.

WxRadMap offers up to 12 frames of animation showing about one hour's worth of storm movement. It's great for any type of travel. Keep up-to-date on what you might run into (or avoid). The auto refresh feature and the ability to show your GPS location relative to the weather make this a killer app for travel.

The concept is that you can browse around on the map and select a radar site (blue dots) to download the data for that the radar. The radar information is updated by the National Weather Service every 5 to 10 minutes.

There are two main modes for the app:
Touch the USA icon to toggle into the national mosaic mode (now animated).
Touch again to toggle back into radar browsing mode and select a radar site for full detailed animated radar in one of 7 radar modes.
Zoom in to see the latest data from over 2500 weather stations (updated hourly).

Great Radar App (4 stars)
I really like this radar app. It is very versatile and useful. I like how it offers all the features of NexRad you can get on the NWS web site.

I do have one bug to report. If you go into full screen mode and then switch back to regular mode the radar overlay is not in the correct location. Close the app from the app switcher and reload all is correct again until you go to full screen and back again.

NOT a good iPad App (1 star)
The radar overlay is not very high resolution, there are much better apps with significantly better resolution – and some of them are free. (iNtellicast comes to mind).

I would like to be able to get my money back on this one. Wasted $1.99 on this. Don't do what I did.
