The MWN App just got better with our release of version 2.0!

Providing current conditions, pinch-to-zoom StormView Radar, the acclaimed MWN Forecast, and *NOW* StormWatch+ push notifications for automatic alerting of severe weather anywhere in the U.S., the MemphisWeather.net app is an extension of the widely-used website of the same name.

StormWatch+ is a unique service that sends alerts to users whenever severe weather threatens their specific location. This is accomplished by cross-referencing storm-based warnings (also known as warning polygons) issued by the National Weather Service with up to two (2) locations registered by the user. Push notification alerts are generated if a registered location is within the polygon created by the NWS. Opening the MemphisWeather.net app will allow the user to view their registered location with respect to the warning polygon on a map, as well as retrieve the full text of the watch or warning that generated the alert.

No longer do you have to wonder whether the warning sirens that are sounding are because of a storm headed for your location. For less than the cost of a combo meal at your favorite fast food restaurant, you can have peace of mind for an entire year!

– Fixes issues including JSON errors when tapping alerts, updating alerts when in effect, lack of push notifications, abnormally large badge numbers that wouldn't clear, and active alerts not being synchronized.
– Fixes an issue with text fields in certain forms being non-selectable

Once you buy the app you then have to pay an additional $4.99 to get the weather alerts. What a scam!
