With this app you can remotely view and control your Foscam IP camera from your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. From wherever you are*! You can use it for example for home security (is someone breaking into your home?), home automation (did I leave the lights on?) or to watch your little baby kid while it sleeps.

*import* this update unfortunately introduces a problem on same devices where the brightness is not reported back correctly when changed via de slider.

Besides Foscam it supports literally hundreds of other brands of MJPEG/JPEG cameras. Please note that advanced features (like motion dection and pan/tilt) are not supported for all cameras. See http://www.ruwebit.net/foscam/supported/ for a complete overview of supported cameras.

– View the live video feed of your cameras
– Listen to the audio stream from the camera (if supported by camera)
– Control the cameras in all 8 directions (if supported by camera)
– Go to preset camera positions (if supported by camera)
– Zoom in and out on the image by pinching (even when your camera doesn't support zoom)
– Fullscreen by rotating the device to a landscape position
– Fullscreen controls
– Swipe in fullscreen view to select another camera, this only works when not zoomed in (double tap to zoom to 100%)
– Take snapshots and save it to your camera roll
– Adjust brightness/contrast
– Mirror and flip is taken into account (so the controls will still work intuitively, even when the camera is mounted to a ceiling for example)
– Change camera resolution
– Switch IR on/off (if supported by your camera, like the FI8918W)

I have tested this app withgenuine Foscam FI8908/FI8908W and FI8918/FI8918W Pan-Tilt camera and a genuine Foscam FI8904/FI8904W outdoor camera, but it should also work with camera models like Foscam FI8901W, FI8903W, FI8906W, FI8908W, FI8601, FI8602, FI8903/FI8903W, FI8905/FI8905W, FI8604, FI8605 and FI8902/FI8902W. Other brands like Novibo SV and INSTAR IN-3010, Smart Teck/Smartteck ST8908W, 7Links PX3309, Clairvoyant 1002/1002r/1002rw, EasyN, Hootoo, PROCCTV/PROTECH Camview, Wanscam, Storage Options, Instar, Delight, Airlink, have been reported to work) have been reported to work. What's New in Version 1.58

Your patience is rewarded! The update you're all be waiting for featuring audio (from camera to iDevice). Of course only available for the camera models that support it (like FI8908, FI8918)…

Audio comes as a free update and not as an in-app purchase. Sorry I've kept you waiting for so long, it was quite a mission to get it working besides all other projects I'm working on.

There is a known issue with audio enabled when, after trying to connect to a camera that is not reachable, the audio of the next camera selected will not play automatically. Workaround: switch audio off and on again.

Another known issue, not audio related, sometimes when rotating to fullscreen the screen is scrambled. Workaround: rotate back, go to mosaic view, rotate to landscape again, select the camera of your choice. I'm working on this problem.

2) Fixed problem refresh rates for custom cameras not correctly stored
3) Optical zoom for FI8906(W)
4) A lot of under the hood changes to support audio (amongst other feature)
5) Controls have been reworked (some are on a different place now)
6) Fixed brightness/contrast problem introduced with the last update
7) Improved efficiency of sending camera commandos
8) Added support for FI8910(W) cameras

This is certainly not the last update! I've got a lot of ideas I want to work on.

Good app the only thing it is missing for me is two way audio. Fix that and I'll gladly bump my review up to 5 stars

I would give it a 5 but sometimes the setting button makes the app freeze other than that it's pretty awesome

DO NOT UPDATE (1 star)
I've been enjoying the app until I updated it last night.. It's simply crashing. I can't go back to the old version . It's now a dead app on my iPhone ..
