DescriptionStroke rates can be used as feedback for training and racing, and this calculator makes them easy to determine. Tap once per stroke cycle four times after a swimmer pushes off the wall and breaks out to get a result. A swimmer's speed may be determined by their strokes per second(SR) multiplied by their distance per stroke(DPS), so if a swimmer increases their SR while keeping their DPS the same, their speed will improve. Swimmers can swim at various efforts using different stroke rates to optimize their individual strategies.
