Finally!! (5 stars)
Finally an app that works with sametime! Works excellent and notifications pop in the background. Looks ok doubled, but I would love an hd or ipad universal app.

IBM same time client is free (2 stars)
This app would be great except for two things the app requires that it remain in the foreground to stay connected, and it will logout automatically after 10 minutes of being idle. That pretty much makes the app useless as an IM client. IBM released a free version of Sametime client in December 2011. I regret paying five bucks for this.

Overall it works as designed. However, it needs a multi person chat option. Shouldn't be too hard to add it in
