Just tested this app out while on vacation in France (Dec 2010). As a college student with a minor area of study in French, I can attest to it's usefulness and completeness. The audio pronunciation was especially helpful for words with unfamiliar structure (or origin) and appears not to be computerized text-to-speech — that is to say, the recordings are of actual human beings. In the next iPad update I would like to see the ability to hear the OTHER sentences pronounced. Does anyone else feel the same way?

When I'm studying French, I typically search for the French word that I'm learning, NOT the English word. Searching for a French word in this app brings up all kinds of wonderful sentence examples in French and it also has the English translation right next to it, BUT THEN it gives the pronunciation of

I used a cheaper dictionary before getting this app and it was not very good. This dictionary is superb. I had some friends from France staying with us this week and it had every word I needed, both in English and French, save one ("colonics"–don't ask . . . they wanted to know what it meant).
