Description

This app has been written by a serving member of the British military in order to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

The app contains detailed information about the ranks within the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) with the aim of being a reference guide. It will be useful to members of the MOD working with other departments/services – it will also be useful to members of industry working alongside the MOD. Finally is will be useful to cadets or those considering joining any of the services. Six main service areas are included in this app:

Royal Navy,
British Army,
Royal Air Force,
Royal Marines (part of the Royal Navy),
Civil Service of the MOD,
Royal Fleet Auxiliary (part of the Royal Navy).

There is also a comprehensive comparison of ranks between the services and a quiz to help you learn the ranks and their insignia.

This is not an official MOD app and does not contain any classified information – all information is open-source.
