The subscription will include the current issue if you do not already own it and subsequently published future issues. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. This subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period, your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. The cost of the renewal will match the initial subscription price.

If you are updating your app from Version 1, please delete and then re-install version 2.5.1 to avoid potential crashes on start up. You won’t be charged again to download the app from iTunes. Just make sure you use the same iTunes account you used to purchase the app previously. Upon logging in with your PixelMags account, all owned issues will become available for download. If you are running an iOS 3 device, please don't upgrade as this update does not support iOS3.

It was a good magazine, but don't bother unless you want to read back issues (3 stars)
I actually loved this magazine, and used to read it in print from the Barnes & Noble newsstand. But when I was about to purchase a year's subscription Monday, I noticed that the last issue was months ago. So I contacted the publisher, who has informed me that the magazine has long since ceased publication, so that's that.
