It is called "NPR Hourly News" and it's free. You don't have to put up with this app being broken anymore.

This app is amazing (5 stars)
I recently moved to Europe, and have been unable to listen to NPR. Finding this app solved my problem. This app Is the most smooth and streamlined that I have ever seen. Such a simple user interface is hard to find these days, I am beyond impressed and would gladly pay for this app even if it was out for money. Thank you for making a quality application for your listeners 🙂
Sit, Have a cup of coffee, Read — slow to initially load, but excellent and free (5 stars)
This app may be slow to load — but is is FREE
Unlike so many other apps out there, the NPR app has both a nice interface and IT IS FREE.
And by free — I mean truly free.
That said — it isn't a quick news fix app. This is a 'I've worked for a few hours and deserve a break to have some tea and surf the news' app
