djay Remote is the ultimate companion app to algoriddims award-winning djay software for iTunes on the Mac. It turns your iPhone or iPod touch into a full-fledged DJ controller by allowing you to wirelessly control the addictive features of djay from the palm of your hand. Mixing your favorite music from iTunes has never been this much fun.

djay for Mac is required to run djay Remote, and available as a free trial from www.algoriddim.com.

Whether you're mingling with guests, rocking out on the dance floor, or simply wandering about the house, djay Remote allows you to mix and play your own iTunes music by wirelessly syncing with your djay software over Wi-Fi. djay Remote requires a Wi-Fi network. If you are not already using a Wi-Fi network, you can create a local Wi-Fi network on your Mac by choosing “Create Network…” from the AirPort menu in your Macs menubar. Then join the network on your iPhone/iPod touch through the Settings app.

Update 12/10 – I'm a huge djay fan. I use it exclusively to dj with and love the software and the company. But.. I had to take a star away after the last update. The fact that we can now remotely trigger fx is so useful. I've been waiting for this up

Disappointed (2 stars)
This could be a really great app to go along with DJay for Mac, but all it does is crash. You can only control something's in djay for Mac with this remote and when you can it's sometimes offbeat. This app should have landscape mode also for easier use. I just thought Algoriddim would have put more thought into this app like they did for djay for iPhone, since this app did cost more.

Pathetic …need iPad version (1 star)
Clunky interface, overly simplistic buttons, buried access for iPhone are next to worthless on iPad. Djay is great but need a true iPad remote with similar interface as Djay for IPad to truly 'behind the bar' control systems running off MacBook, etc. common guys, you can do better than that – give us true remote DJ control instead of just next song loading and you will really have something worth $5.
