DescriptionPerinatal and obstetrical calculators derived from published data to help guide obstetrical providers in counseling patients desiring VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) and assessment of risk in patients at risk of having a child with Down Syndrome based on a priori risk and ultrasound markers. 2 specific VBAC calculators based on published nomograms regarding success rates in two different clinical settings: 1) counseling in the prenatal office setting 2) counseling patients presenting to the labor and delivery suite at term with a cervical exam in the setting of a previous cesarean delivery desiring a trial of labor. Calculator to evaluate a mother's risk of Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) in a high risk setting based on several different factors including ultrasound markers and a priori risk. Utilizes published likelihood ratios to calculate overall risk of aneuploidy for counseling purposes. Useful for genetic counselors, maternal fetal medicine specialists and all obstetric providers.
