Disregard bad reviews for earlier versions (4 stars)
Some problems mentioned in reviews for versions 2.01 and earlier have been fixed. There is now an alert badge that shows on your home screen icon. You don't have to exit the app after each item, just touch the Home button in the app. Although you can't search the database offline, your alert list of expiring items is still viewable.

Fantastic App, if you've ever wondered if that stuff in the fridge is still good, now you can find out with a couple of taps. Please make an iPad version!
