Instant Blood Pressure lets you measure your blood pressure using only your iPhone – no cuff required. It is not a medical device. It uses a patent-pending process created by a team of forward-thinking biomedical engineers and software developers. Measurements take less than 40 seconds and produce a systolic, diastolic, and heart rate measurement.

At this time, results may vary for different users and some users may experience inaccurate measurements. Please bear with us as we improve this exciting new technology.

How it Works

1. Remove any outer clothing layer (e.g. jacket, sweater) and iPhone case (some cases may be left on, but this is not currently supported).

2. Place right index finger over the rear camera lens and light.

3. Maintain finger position and place bottom of iPhone against your left chest.

4. Hold this position until measurement is complete and see results.

Somehow, I think I am always dreaming of the ways tech can get easier, and be more than merely modern, and it is incredible that we're finally progressing from the old squeeze cuffs into this experimental new way that really just felt like something you'd see on Star Trek somewhere when I first used it!

98% of users that use this app are doing so because they want to monitor regularly and easily a very concerning potential issue. This device is great….for the one times in ten that it works. It takes a minute of sitting there only to find out that the signal was not strong enough or something was not right that it cannot give a reading. Surely the creators of this idea could take some more time to build in an alert to let the user know ear

Good for what it is (4 stars)
I was diagnosed with pre-hypertension. I wanted something I could use at work without bringing a big, bulky BP cuff — even the new digital ones seem big. This app gives accurate measurements. I tested it by using my digital cuff at home then use this app. The readings match.

That being said, there is a learning curve to using this and the first few days were challenging because I had to keep repeating the steps to get the reading.
