Measure your heart rate

It's never been easier to know what your heart rate is! Without any external hardware, just using the built-in camera of your smartphone or tablet, you can get accurate readings almost instantly.
Knowing how fast your heart is beating can be very useful when exercising, if you're under stress, if you have a heart-related medical condition, or even just out of curiosity.

Track your results

Every measurement you take is saved to your personal history, so you can keep track over time. In addition to the date and time of the measurement, you can also save the location at which it was taken (and see them on a map), and even add a quick note to effortlessly organize your history.

What's New in Version 1.5

✓ You can now save the location of your measurements. Cardiograph can add them automatically (with your permission), or you can add them manually from the History screen.
✓ Added a Map of all measurements with a location in the History screen. Multiple measurements with the same location are grouped in a single pin. You can view them in detail by tapping the pin.
✓ Added location preferences in the Settings app.
✓ Added a couple of preset History notes, for quicker access to common measurement conditions.
✓ Added support for system-wide Twitter profiles in iOS 5.0 and later.

✓ Fixed an occasional issue with resetting of profiles.

As an EMT I can honestly say its freakishly accurate to be a phone checking your pulse. It's a neat little trick to show off to your buddies. But you have to hold your finger just right!

I was very disappointed at first as I couldn't get the app to register my heart rate. However, once I read that I shouldn't press so hard on the camera and flash it worked great.

Says it's not a medical device, and it's not, but gives the same reading as the cardio monitor I wear at the gym. Great app to keep track if your heart rate anytime. Well worth the download.
