Using GPS, Dark Sky is able to create forecasts for your precise location, giving you minute-to-minute predictions for the next hour and detailed forecasts for the next day and week.

BEAUTIFUL WEATHER ANIMATIONS
The same technology that powers Dark Skys predictions also allows us to make the worlds first perfectly smooth radar animation. Other apps show you a chunky slideshow that makes it nearly impossible to tell how storms are moving. But Dark Skys radar animation lets you see the actual path of the storm: how it moved in the past, and where its going in the future.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Dark Sky can send you an alert before it starts raining at your exact location. Even if you haven't opened the app in days, Dark Sky will know when you're in the path of a storm.

TODAY WIDGET
The Dark Sky Notification Center Widget tells you at a glance what's going to happen in the next hour, so you don't even have to unlock your phone to quickly check the weather before heading out.

Crazy accurate (5 stars)
Dark Sky is completely worth the money. It essentially does one thing incredibly well: It forecasts precipitation. Which is ultimately what matters. I've used it for a few months now and I'm incredibly impressed. I love the pinpoint accuracy: "Light rain in 7 min, ending 10 min later." And it's always right, in my experience. I really want to love this app — the UI is impressive and the weather seems to be accurate. My problem is functionality. As a pilot and someone who is very interested in weather (in and of itself), charting, and fine little details, this app doesn't work for me. There is no way to change it to Celsius. After ready all the reviews I was kind of excited to get the app. It looked like it was gonna rain so I checked the app just to see and there was no rain predicted for the day that I could see, then after I finish watering my plants and garden…it rained for a couple hours :-/
