Star Guide's simple interface helps you learn the night sky by displaying the constellation at which your device is currently pointed.

It uses your device's sensor suite, the magnetometer, accelerometer, and GPS, to determine the orientation of your phone relative to the celestial sphere, using a custom cascading filter for precision and fast response. For best results hold the device at arms length, look along the surface, and tap the screen to pause the display

Note that as an astronomy app, Star Guide comes in a red-and-black color scheme designed to minimize the loss of night-vision. For best results you should turn the screen brightness to minimum before going outside.

Awesome quick reference (4 stars)
So far this app seems to work great! I'm able to confirm the names of the constellations I'm casually gazing at as I wait for my morning car-pool. Very responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly… And it's free!

Stealth bomber (3 stars)
Serves it's purpose I guess but I feel like I'm staring at the cockpit of a stealth bomber. Also, it seems like no matter where I point it, it says it is the big dipper.

Wonderful app (5 stars)
This is a great app! I have been having so much fun with it. The only suggestion may be to include the common names; not just the technical names.
