DescriptionDeveloping quality listening skills at an early age is a great advantage for speech sound, language and reading development. Listen Hear 2 targets focused listening and attention, vital for speaking, reading and learning. Listen Hear 2 is an extension of Listen Hear 1 based on valuable feedback and experience gained. They go hand in hand. Both are useful resources to assist with listening skills, reading, spelling and language. Listen Hear 2 was designed by a Speech-Language Pathologist. In Steps and Word Families Listen Hear 2 relates sounds to the visual symbol (alphabet) which is important for reading development. The exercises are completed quickly for positive reinforcement. The main menu consists of: Word Families – a variety of word endings Tap Dance – tapping on words that begin with each letter of the alphabet What am I?- tapping on and identifying the correct item (I give light- lamp) Pairs – matching sound effects, sounds of the alphabet, words and music Where are they? – tapping on the correct place (dentist, zoo etc) Rhyme – tapping on pairs of cards that rhyme (tap-cap, boat-goat) There is an optional timer as a feature for increased motivation and challenges.
