Retro Recorder is the only iPhone recorder application with distortion free audio zoom-in capability, making it the best iPhone recorder for meetings, dictations, interviews, voice memos, and music recordings. The highly stylized yet simple interface makes recording easy on any iPhone.

Retro Recorder's patent pending Audio Level eXtension (ALX) technology improves recording quality beyond the capability of hand held recorders costing many times more. Even without an external microphone, Retro Recorder can capture detail other recorders cannot when using ALX.

Recorded files can be exported individually or in batches. Exported files may then be downloaded to a PC or Mac, using a Wi-Fi network.

I'm only giving this three stars because we can publish to anything usable by the iPhone we must have a computer handy. That's a bummer. Let us use audio copy and I will re rate it.

Looks cool, but it's a very limited app. (2 stars)
No recording pause feature? Come on, even the iOS recorder that comes with the iPod/iPhpne can do THAT.

No continuation on a file? I can't add more audio to a file at a later time just like I could with a real tape recorder?

Oh, and it's way too easy to record over your files. Come on devs, even tapes from back in the day could be protected from overwriting.

I am a recording engineer who swears by compressorbank and filterbank when I mix. I love the retro recorder. Recorded a song idea, went to send it to A friend and………I have to access app from a web browser on a computer? This worked fine but, as the only option, It limits the mobileness of it. I love having mcdsp limiting in my song ideas!
