Description
ASCIImator is an app written for iOS 8 that adds a photo filter which enables you to simply turn saved images into ASCII art! There are two options you have when you are using the filter:
1. Adjusting the density. This changes the font size of the text, which controls the level of detail.
2. Using many shades. This changes the amount of characters the editor can pick from (10 or 69). Most of the time it will enhance the image, but depending on the lighting conditions, it can make the image less clear.
The button labeled “Copy Text” enables you to copy the text of the image to your clipboard, enabling you to paste it somewhere else. This will only work if you are using a monospace font, like Courier.
In the app, there are two buttons:
1. The “Getting Started” button. This takes you through a tutorial that teaches you how to enable the filter.
2. The “Help” button. This contains information about the functions of the app extension and other things.
